Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Harlequin

Rather cramped 'open air' airport bar / restaurant in a strange position beside a corridor through the main retail area but lacking natural light. Three handpumps on the bar counter: the 'house' Harlequin Ale, Greene King IPA and Wandle (£4.30, not in the finest condition but drinkable). Limited seating and partial table service, but the staff were actually very helpful finding spaces for people to sit.

E TA left this review about The Harlequin

For completeness, The Bridge mentioned by Rex below has actually moved ot the end of the concourse, leaving this noisy, bustling spot for The Harlequin Alehouse and Eatery - the name an attempt to pander to the multinational throng that uses it. Only two ales on, I had the Tribute which was in surprisingly good condition, fresh and quite enjoyable. The non-UK national staff were nice but dim, service was a bit slow but not tiresomely so, and the clientele comprised mostly business travellers. I thought my Cornish pasty and chips was substandard and over-priced, but it's an airport bar so that's not unexpected. OK to grab that last pint before flying but don't expect a relaxing snack or any privacy.

Rex Rattus left this review about Bridge Bar and Eating House

This was previously the Bridge Bar, and now re-named The Harlequin. This bar can be found by turning right on exiting security, turning left just before the currency counter, and continuing past the seafood bar and it’s on the left just before you get to the “Giraffe”. There were a couple of ales on here – Harlequin Ale (£4.10 a pint) and GKIPA (£4.20 a pint), and a third pump had an Adnam’s clip reversed. I asked the barmaid who brewed the Harlequin, but unfortunately she seemed not to understand the question. But nonetheless the Harlequin was in excellent shape – and so it should be for £4.10 for a 3.6% beer.

This is an airport bar so obviously one doesn’t expect an uplifting pub experience. But it’s probably the best place airside at Terminal 1 to get a beer.
