E TA left this review about Baileys Court Inn

A 1960s estate pub which shares its site with other businesses. It’s currently run by Marston’s, so the beers and food are their corporate offerings.    There is a smoking shelter at one side, but not much worth looking at outside due to the location’s being rather depressing.  Inside, there is a single large room with a central servery.  The flooring around the middle is various laminates, plus there are carpeted areas at the sides where the dining tables are.  It was really busy when we visited, and the atmosphere was social and lively, and it’s clear that this pub is a social hub for the area.  There are multiple TV screens – showing live football when we were here - and gaming machines throughout the pub.  The staff were sociable, the locals were not overly hostile, children were allowed to roam but were largely well-behaved.  What really let it down was the beer quality.  Ales on were Pedigree, 61 Deep, EPA and Bombardier, all in sub-optimal condition.  In particular, my EPA tasted of cleaning fluid.  OK for the social element if in the area, but it wouldn’t be a destination of choice.
