Blue Scrumpy left this review about Brewery Inn

The Brewery Inn has a nice Pembrokeshire village location. Sadly, its opening hours have diminished further since the last review.

We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon to find it closed and instead returned the following day. Luckily opening times are on display. The pub no longer opens on a Monday and it only opens most weekdays at 6pm. Saturday is 12-3 & 6-close and Sunday is 12-5.

Despite there being plenty of tables free, staff didn't seem too welcoming. We overheard them say that they were fully booked for the next week and it almost seemed as if they were looking forward to turning us away, until we said that we only wanted a drink.

We were invited to sit in the small lounge area, where table service was still in operation, despite the lifting of Covid restrictions. This was yet another pointless exercise as I had to go to the bar twice, once to see what beers and ciders were available and again to try to get the bill and to pay for it.

The interior was nicely decorated, but the lounge area had clearly been used for lounging canines, as we came away covered in dog hairs.

Brewing ceased here well over 100 years ago. These days, Brain's The Rev James is the regular beer and a guest beer was Glamorgan Welsh Pale. I opted for the Pembrokeshire Cider Company Cromwell 1648 from a bottle.

A cosy place that clearly has a reputation for food. But it all felt a little too pretentious for my liking and the limited opening hours will certainly deter the casual drinker.
