I'd never really considered a La Tasca restaurant as a viable place to go just for a drink, but my other half uses the small bar in this Croydon branch and assures me that it's a good spot to meet friends over a glass of wine and the odd plate of tapas. Beer drinkers can choose from a couple of European lagers on tap, but the main reason for visiting is to eat from the tapas menu. This branch used to have good offers on the food, which made it worthwhile spending an evening in here, but without them, I find the food is priced quite high for what you actually get. I've always found the staff here to be very helpful and friendly, and the interior is nice enough to make a quick drink here a bearable experience. With plenty of decent pubs within short walking distance, this place doesn't really appeal to me, but if drinking in restaurants is your thing, this is probably the best Croydon has to offer.
