Steve of N21 left this review about The Grocer

The Grocer Market Tavern, to give it its full name, is indeed a fairly new build modern gastro style pub under the Geronimo arm of Youngs.
It’s on the north east corner of Spitalfields Market and is inside and therefore covered by the market roof.
A bright modern interior benefitting from basically being a glass box with full floor to ceiling glass windows on three sides with a mix of different modern seating styles internally. But then the available pub space is basically doubled by the external area contained within wooden plant troughs that has an equal if not larger amount of wooden trestle tables and settee seating with heater units dotted in between.
Yes it does have a focus on food, as the market is now home to many chain restaurants in the form of Giraffe, Itsu and Carluccio’s to name a few and it joins in with a menu to try and entice the City workers. But the available menu didn’t seem too outrageous to me with sandwiches coming in at £9 and mains such as Fish and Chips, burgers and Sausage and Mash at around £14.
But there are enough beer options with three ale pumps and several craft beer options with a couple coming from Meantime. The Doombar pump was reversed for our visit, leaving Youngs Bitter and Youngs Winter Warmer as the remaining ales, and both of which were fine during the evening.
So, not your traditional type of pub, but will concur with the reviewer below still not a bad spot for a pint under the cover of Spitalfields Market.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Grocer

New-ish Geronimo pub on the edge of Spitalfields Market, with the usual sort of mixed modern bar tables supplemented by an 'outside' seating area under the main roof (with obligatory table-tennis table) and another actually out in the open air on the other side. Bright interior with full-height windows on three sides. Young's Ordinary and the seasonal Autumn Gold on handpump, along with Doom Bar. Actually, not a bad spot for a pint.
