This is a very pleasant village pub, retaining a multiroomed layout with a games room to the left and a dining room to the right, with the bar in the back room (with snug to the left) and facing, unusually, the rear. There are stone floors and wood paneling throughout. Three hand pumps have beers from Thwaites (IPA, Amber and Original). My pint of Amber was in good condition, but I found it rather bland and malty, with no discernable bitterness to it. Maybe I'll go for the IPA next time.
