Steve of N21 left this review about The Lounge Cafe Bar

One room cafe / bar with the bar serving area at the far end that functioned much more as a bar during our time in Brecon.
During the day, yes they do coffee, but most people were still here for alcoholic drinks and then from early evening onwards it clearly has a bar vibe aimed at a younger demographic, with loudish party music being the back drop. Also a music venue during the Fringe weekend but hosting DJ sets for Soul, RnB and House, rather than live bands.
Standard draft offerings with no ale and I had to suffer Tetley’s Smoothflow the one time we deemed to look in here. But if you were in any doubt about the main product focus of the Lounge Bar a massive promotion banner draped over the main entrance for a special offer on Jägerbombs told you all you needed to know.
Now I was young once and I fully respect that every town needs a venue to attract the over energetic youth, and thus keep them out of the standard pubs for the rest of us, and from what we could tell The Lounge Bar provides that function for the town of Brecon.
