Brutally modernised pub; aiming for the stars but mistook the glow of a lamp post. L shaped, a tiled floor in what’s best described as a ‘bathroom style’ along with white and burnt coloured walls. To the right is literally an empty area with seats lined up along the bay window (please tell me it had been cleared for live music or a disco…). To the left is awkwardly laid out tables and chairs area. A wood plank bar, two pumps with just one on, Delphic Bitter badged for the pub (NBSS 1.5 – floating critters, not clear and served in a filthy glass). No soul and seemingly, no clue. How this ended-up in the GBG for 2022 is a mystery.
