Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Red Lion

Attractive old Greene King pub, still looking like the village inn it must once have been (albeit now somewhat lost in a suburb of Slough). However, the thoroughly refurbished interior won't be to everybody's taste, but there are a number of different seating areas to choose from. Reasonably-priced chain menu. Fairly busy on a Wednesday night, with a quiz night underway. On the real ale front, the expected IPA and Abbot were supplemented by Wandle and Betty Stogs as guests.

A GK outlet in an historic old building in rather pleasant surroundings – yes Langley does have some! Lots of original low beams and nicely decorated (fairly recently so) to complement. Two-roomed layout, the right is smaller and more lounge-focussed with a couple of bookshelves and a very large fireplace. To the left is more pubby. This leads onto a massive formal dining area. To the rear, beyond this, is a large garden - a grass and patio combo with a view of the church opposite. Three ales on; GK IPA and Abbot, plus a ‘collaboration’ with Mauldon called Blackaddler which tasted like just another Greene King beer – however the condition of it was pretty good nonetheless. All rather good I thought and well-worth diverting off the motorway for. Though of course I was in there on a Friday afternoon. Maybe Friday nights are different…?
