Graham King left this review about The Rock Tavern

The Rock Tavern is a fine old 19th century family-run country inn on the moorland A626 Glossop Road about three miles out of Marple Bridge.

One of the main reasons for a visit is the extensive menu – which puts most restaurants to shame. And that’s down to Steve Robinson’s approach in merging his role as landlord with his chef training to provide a restaurant service that ranges from traditional pub favourites to modern British cuisine and international dishes.

Rock Tavern food, using fresh local produce wherever possible, is cooked to order by trained professionals catering for corporate events and family celebrations as well as private diners.

AA-rated ensuite rooms are available.
