Average Rating:
The Inn on the Wharf was originally a canal warehouse built in approx 1801.It is quite a big pub with a lot of character and much of the original building has been retained. It is possible to enjoy a drink outside where it borders the canal. There is a good selection of drinks including Speckled Hen and some guest beers. The food used to be excellent but recently the quality has gone down. The sandwiches and snacks are still good but the cooked food leaves a lot to be desired. For anyone wanting a drink and a snack it is a good choice being only a few hundred yards from the town centre.
