An estate pub a short walk from John Smith's brewery, it's on the 840/843 Coastliner route. Two bars, to the left is traditional and overdecorated with beer mats, and the odd nick-nack. There's a few interesting bits of breweriana as well. Two pulls, excellent Black Sheep and untried Tetley's , three T-bars, two with national favourites and one of Sam's core range; the beer mats also came from Sams. The other bar is a pleasant lounge, much smaller and intimate but with only a clutch of keg taps.

A very nice locals pub on the main road ten minutes outside of Tadcaster. there is one main large bar area with long tables and lots of seating a well as a smaller back room with pool table and more chairs. There used to be four real ales on the bar but this has now decreased to just two to make way for more lager pumps. they also stock almost the whole sam smiths range of beers with the OBB being keg form. the one real ale available on my visit was Tetleys at £2.60 that was a nicely kept pint as well as a pint of Sam Smiths OBB at £2.30 (50p more than it is in Sams pubs) this was nice enough as well but not as good as the cask version. I like this pub as it had a lot more atmosphere than any of the other pubs in tadcaster and was a lot busier. they also stock national branded lagers and ciders at very reasonable prices compared with other places, these just seem expensive compared with the super competitive prices of other Tadcaster pubs. I would be happy to visit here again.

The Jackdaw is an estate pub that is to the south of the town centre.
This pub did'nt look that appealing from the outside but once inside here the pub was quite smart and comfortable and was popular with the older locals.
There were three real ales on here i had a drink of Moorhouses Black Cat which was a very nice drink the other beers were Taylor Landlord and John Smiths cask.
This is the sort of pub i could stay in for a good session as i really liked this pub.
