Alan Winfield left this review about The Ferry Boat Inn

The Ferry Boat Inn is situated down a narrow lane and is quite close to the river Trent but not in view from the pub.
Once inside the main bar is oblong shaped with a nice beamed ceiling, the room is carpeted and had pew type seating, there was a pool table in a seperate area to the front right, there is a lean to to the left side of the pub which had normal tables and chairs.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Welbeck Abbey Hennrietta which was quite a nice drink, the other beer was Welbeck Abbey 5 Tun.
We thought this was quite a nice laid back pub to have a drink in.
