The Standard of England was a decent looking stand alone pub that looked a bit different to most Nottingham pubs as the front looked like it was built with stone.
Once inside there were two largish rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room to have a drink in,the pub used to be an Home Ales tied house and there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Home bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Home mild.
Sadly this is yet another Nottingham pub to be pulled down and lost forever.
