I'm really trying hard to say something nice about this place other than it has massive potential. Very Olde Worlde, lots of big wooden beams on which to bash your head. Have never managed to get a good pint in here. Real ale, although they have handpulls, never seems to be available. Bandits & pool table in bar area - totally out of character. Good dance area on top floor up narrow spiral staircase. Upstairs bar even worse than downstairs. When last time there for an event I made the short walk to 'The Three Fishes' on my return drank J2O, so that should tell you something (wouldn't go except a club I frequent hires the dancefloor occasionally). Work on the potential gaffer.
