Earlsdon is a western suburb of Coventry where this Spoons appears to be a typical large 20th century built suburban pub.
The conversion dates from early 2000 and despite possibly being an original pub they seem to have turned it into a fairly typical Spoons. The bar area is on the left with tall tables and chairs. To the right is a large room with small low tables and chairs. On one side of this is a secluded patio. There is also a smaller room round the back of the bar and some picnic benches outside on the edge of the car park.
The bar has ten hand pumps which on my Thursday Morning Visit were all going with no doubling up. The beers available were the two usual GK beers, Doom Bore, Salopian Hop Twister, Milk Street Funky Monkey, Sadler's Mud City Stout, Exe Valley Autumn Glory, Dorset Brewing Jurassic Dark, Purity UBU and Wychwood Dirty Tackle. I went for the Mud City Stout and at £2.55, not so expensive as it's a 6.6% beer.
I thought this was a pretty good Spoons well worth the bus out from the City Centre or a long walk.

Has the largest range of real ales in Earlsdon, with between 5 & 8 usually available plus Abbot and Ruddles.Often has the Purity and Bayatts range of local beers on offer.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The City Arms (JD Wetherspoon)
Substantial suburban Brewer's Tudor building, extended at the back to provide even more space. Side patio beer garden plus a few wooden benches out front. Ten handpumps offering the usual suspects plus a good selection of festival ales (e.g. Red Rye Riwaka, £2.10 and in good condition) plus a cider direct from a barrel on the bar counter. Overall, worth a visit if in the area. (NB - Review dates from October 2011.)
