Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wilfred Owen (JD Wetherspoon)
Dull-looking place, formerly the Royal Mail sorting office, but it does benefit from having quite a high ceiling (albeit above the industrial ventilation network). Modest, duplicated selection from the two banks of five handpumps, with just Exmoor Beast and the beer festival Germain hazy lager from Brouwerij De Bock (£2.41) available in addition to the regular Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Abbot.

Not the most attractive building for a Spoons. It resembles an office block. We called in for breakfast which was fine. I did notice a few guests alongside the regular ales including Woods Take 5 and Cotleigh Old Buzzard.

On a Thursday evening it was very quiet with hardly more than a dozen people in. It was still hard to get served with about four people queuing for a single barman!
There was also a "Tap Takeover" by Jennings/Marston's with Kelham Island Pale Rider the only free guest. This was drinkable but not as good as I am used to for one of my favourite beers. I was going to order food but found the experience so dull that I moved to the "eat in" chippy down the road where there was more life and atmosphere!
