Limes is a newish bar that is in an old building that is situated on the corner of a very busy road junction.
Once inside there was one longish room with the bar to the left close to the entrance,the room was split into two halfs with the far end being used by diners.
The room is bare boarded and had comfortable leather chairs around tables,there was jazz music playing on the sound system which i dont like at all.
There were two handpumps on the bar and both had Sharps Doom bar on,i had a drink of this but it was slighty passed its best,this cost £3.60 for a pint ime glad i only had a half.
This place caters for a more upmarket type customer but as a normal drinker i was made just as welcome.

Typical cafe bar style place on a major road junction. The outside seating would be pleasant if it wasn't for all the traffic. Once inside it's nicely done with wood floors and a pleasant atmosphere. There's another bar downstairs called Lou Lous bar that they use for showing football etc but it was closed when we visited. There's a fairly small selection of overpriced lagers on offer and it was only after ordering a pint of Peroni at a staggering £4 (in Derby, you have got to be kidding) that I noticed a handpump selling Pedigree partially hidden behind a vase of flowers at the end of the bar. I shudder to think what they were going to charge for that! It's OK if you like that sort of thing, I don't.
