a large detached Gerogian, mainly brick built hotel, pub and Beefeater restaurant, with patio. There is a touch of the Jacobean and a neo-classic porch.
The interior has a function room, food area and bar, which to be honest, is still mainly food orientated. The service was functional the clientele mixed, from families to miserable individuals such as me. The decor was the general plain walls, of mixed coloures; so plum, black (it seemed), dark red, a greeny browny colour (sorry, i don't work for Dulux). There was a moulded ceiling and comfy chairs, so there was a touch of the historic feel of the house hidden in the modern decor. The picture were mainly arty things. The music mixed and at an ok level.
Beer; tap stuff with Banks's Bitter on handpull, which was very good.
One of those places that i simply wouldn't go to unless i was eating - the modern interior isn't to my taste, so i probably wouldn't bother
