I'm not a great fan of Wetherspoons and only came in here because I had done all the open pubs in Shipley that I wanted to do and had half an hour to kill before my train. This unusually shaped building has been adapted well, despite the toilets being on a different floor, and as has been commented below is smaller and more publike than a lot of 'Spoons. I quite liked it here - to be honest, I would be well-disposed towards any pub, 'Spoons or not, that could serve me a half of excellent Elland 1872 Porter for just £1.05. Yummy!

As noted below this is a modern curved building. Inside it's a single room with fairly typical furnishings. It was doing a brisk trade when I arrived on a Wednesday morning with a typical mix of families, shoppers and a few of the daytime brigade. I was after a breakfast here and was delighted to find that the standard one was only £2.79 as opposed to the usual £3.25. The large one was £4.29 rather than £4.95 but I wasn't that hungry!
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which had the two GK beers, one from Settle / Nine Standards, Goose Eye Chinook, Elland 1872, Hobgoblin, Caledonian Thunder Trail, Daleside Monkey Wrench & Premium Gold and Rudgate Olympian. The absence of Doom Bore was a plus point. I had a pint of the 1872 (£2.25) porter which went down a treat with the excellent breakfast. I wasn't keen on the building but thought this was a reasonably good JDW. The JDW directory has no indication that it was once a Lloyds.

An elegant curved glass frontage ,there are two entrances from the street and you step up into a single room with a decent sized bar to the rear. For a 'spoons its not vast which helps give it some pub atmosphere but the interior has been well worn and it looks a little tired. There are two ranks of five handpumps witht on my trip thankfully only two regular ales in Abbott and Ruddles Best.Guests included Wychwood Hobgoblin,Goose Eye Chinook,Sambrooks Red Ale and Elland 1872 Porter among other which I thought was a decent range ,making this a place worth including on any crawl around Shipley.
