Steve C left this review about Ouch!

In recent years this place has been called Esca and then a bar called Oxygen which has now moved to West Street. This is now a bar called Ouch! That is run by students for students. Football is shown on plasma screens that are located either end of the bar and every evening some sort of music event is held. These include open mic decks, DJs and live bands. The bar is located down a couple of steps to the right of the entrance and is stocked with standard draught products alongside Amstel. Brothers Pear Cider is also available with a range of cordial mixers that flavour the cider… how strange and wrong! The bar is lined with bar stools and the other seating is made up by uncomfortable low sofas. This bar opens at noon and closes at 2am.

I wasn’t that impressed with this place, but as a late bar to flock to when everywhere else is shut it is perfectly acceptable.
