The Balmoral is a Craft Union pub with a pool table, dartboard and bar counter that serves standard keg along the rear wall. During a recent late Tuesday afternoon visit the televisions were airing muted horse racing via Racing TV and the jukebox was playing in the background. Karaoke is advertised for throughout the week. The local dregs were huddled around the pool table, I didn’t leave my coat on the back of the chair when I went to the toilet. Polite service, but that’s about it.

had two real ales on tonight but the karaoke was so deafeningly loud that i left it. Nice enough corner pub though so don’t hesitate to call in.

A 3 roomed pub, all Reasonably decorated. The left hand room was full of scrotes on my Friday, early evening visit. The right hand room was the best of the three with some reasonable people in it. 2 handpumps, but no real ale although Old Rosie real cider was available. There's a dartboard in the room to the rear. This is advertised as "The New Look Balmoral". I shudder to think what the old one was like. I really didn't like this one at all or most of the clientele.
