James Richards left this review about Arkwrights

Used to be what is best described a a working mens club, but is now just a one room bar with no cheap booze, run by a old lady called Maddy, fights are always possible, don't think there is any food, usual customers are local from the terraced streets around, I stopped going when they took away the big jackpot fruit machines, poor ale, but I'm going to rate it high because some of the barmaids and perhaps barmen are well worth looking at, up for it or what !
