No.51 is a baby blue painted pub that looked a bit shabby from the outside but probably done out like this for a look.
Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room with the bar on the left side,the floor looked scruffy,the seating is bench type to the rear right,normal tables and chairs in middle area and two tall tables and stools on a small raised area to the front left,there is a DJ rig to the mid right.
There was one real ale on which was St Austell Tribute which was a decent enough drink.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a drink in,but it was pretty empty on my mid Saturday afternoon visit.

A decent enough bar on two levels, which with it’s maroon paintwork, large mirrors, standard lamps and a candle on each table seems more reminiscent of a Southville cafe/bar than somewhere in the middle of Stokes Croft. Only the large speakers, spot lights and DJ console in the corner remind you of where you really are.
The downstairs bar, which is at ground level if you’re coming in from the front, is the main bar area. This has a raised section on the right, divided in to a lounge type area at the front and a more casual space behind with long, wooden slatted benches at each table. There was some unusual black and white artwork on the walls. The food offering seems to major on pizza’s, with ten or so being available at around the £7 mark. Upstairs (or ground level if you’re coming in from the rear) is a restaurant area which has a slightly more industrial feel to it. There is also a courtyard garden out the back.
Beers on tap were Young’s Gold, Gem and Bombardier. Ciders were Stowford Press and Addlestones.
