We visited this pub on the afternnon of the first hot day of spring. A nice view from the front, but there is no garden as such. There are tables on a paved area at the back, and one under the unattractive smoking shelter. At least they have made some provision. Inside it is getting a bit worn out. The chairs look like those from a 1960s staff canteen, and the door to the toilets is propped ajar as the handle is broken. McMullens AK available on draught. It was not busy, but friendly. The restaurant up the stairs was more welcoming. We would not make a special journey to visit again.
