The Eagle was our first stop in Narberth. As the previous reviewer has said, there's clearly a focus on live music here. The main bar has lots of music and film-related posters covering the entirety of the walls. A smaller bar to the left as you enter was empty, whilst the only people in the main room were the barmaid, somebody playing pool with her and another guy.
The barmaid was certainly extravagantly dressed, with a rather short skirt that didn't leave a lot uncovered when bending over to take a pool shot!
Doors at the rear were open, with a covered patio at the rear being used by smokers. Although I'm not sure what quite was being smoked.
Just a single real ale was on. This was Evan Evans Artisan Craft Beer - Snapper. In addition, the pub seems to specialise in an extra large selection of approximately 50 gins.
This pub is certainly the alternative pub option for this market town and serves a niche market well.

During a recent Thursday lunchtime visit to the Eagle the small left-hand bar that houses seating, a plasma screen and a dartboard was empty. In the larger right-hand bar two locals were chatting with the very friendly woman on duty, who I took to be the manager/owner. Seating runs around the front window before reaching a retro arcade game table. In the rear is a pool table, jukebox and second plasma screen, which was off. The wallpaper is made from old comics and album covers so I wasn’t surprised to learn that live music is held here on Saturdays. The jukebox is free on Fridays and there are drink deals throughout the week. Available from the bar was Amstel and standard keg range alongside cask Bluestone Brewing Company’s Hammer Stone IPA. I also noted a large selection of gins. This is a lively local’s boozer so hot food is not available.
Out the back is a paved beer yard with covered seating. This pub opens at midday and has a late license until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. I generally prefer a more traditional boozer, but I was made to feel welcome and enjoyed my visit so I would pop back in if in the area again.
