The pub now stocks 2 An Teallach beers which are under top pressure.

Colin Walker left this review about The Red Hoose

The pub has a name change from McCabes to The Red Hoose also formerly known as the Lairox Inn (Lair of the Ox). Visible on the gable wall is a functioning sundial. The stone dates from the early 18th century. It’s believed there has been an Inn on this site since William Wallace’s time. The building is painted in a rust red colour hence The Red Hoose. The pub has a large open coal fire in the far corner (although it was not on when I visited) giving the impression of and old house or old pub. The bar that was used during the Still Game Hogmanay Special in 2007, titled “Hootenanny”, was chosen by the Still Game producers for its old world qualities.
