It's a shame this Scottish Pub of the Year is only open from Easter to November as it's the only place on the Isle of Bute to serve local Real Ales, and poured straight from the barrels on the bar! Run by a Russian family it's a whole different experience from the normal run of Scottish bars and "hotels." The food is A1 but don't ask for chips...this place does high cuisine, freshly landed seafood and is more like a London Gastropub...although decorated as a Russian Tavern and serving a large selection of Russian beers, wines and vodkas. They have four guest rooms which are really economical. I booked in for one night and stayed for four so you can see I enjoyed it, and that's why I've bothered to write this up. It's right on the sea.
