Agree with review below that this is a lovely pub with character. Skinners Sennen and Heligan Honey were both well kept ales, and Sharps Doom Bar was the other ale choice. Also had Skinners Pressgang Cider on Handpull. Deserves its entry in the 2011 Good Beer Guide. Single bar, but several areas including a family room. Lovely grassy garden outside, behind the car park. Had soup and a desert here and the soup was served with chunky bread, and the fruit crumble was ample proportion. There is a dart board. Variety of buses serve the pub, including 300, 10 and 17.

Visited on 1st Aug 2008 with 11 mates. We were not disappointed. Although I don't usually like Skinners ales, those on sale here were superb. We all agreed, great ale, superb food & wonderful surroundings. Small, almost usless car park. Located just off the main road between St Just & St Ives. This is an old cornish house in a Tin mining area, the interior is a bar cum restaurant with granite walls a low ceiling & tons of character. The food is freshly cooked from local produce & is definitely not your usual pub grub. Whilst there they had 3 Skinners ales and Sharps Doom Bar on hand pulls. This place is worth a visit in anyones language.
