I have been here a few times, and the place is quiet enough (apart from the karaoke nights). They are student friendly since it's in the middle of the concentrated student accommodation areas of Brynmill and St Helens.
The beer was just below average when I was last there a couple of months back, but it wasn't the best tasting beer. Apparently, the landlord wasn't changing the barrels of the real ale as often as he should have. However, since then, the place has gone under new management and re-done. I hear that the place is much better now and I guess I'll have to have another visit to post another review!

A classic pub. Really comfortable and student friendly. Not unpleasant to look out from outside. Drinks reasonably priced. Well situated from university, right on the way into the city
