This is an extremely welcoming pub with excellent atmosphere and a superb community spirit. Richie, the landlord, keeps excellent quality real ales and has won numerous awards for his beers (Best Pub, Best Community Pub, etc) and is usually in the CAMRA Guide.
The restaurant serves fine food (Richie is an excellent chef) with a wide, eclectic cuisine and good choice of wines.
