Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Barley

Typical town-centre pub, with a light, semi-modern interior with various seating / dining areas, all with surprisingly distant tables that now seems a bit 2020/2021. Two of the three handpumps appeared to be in use, but the Hereford Pale Ale expired so had the Old Speckled Hen (£3.30) instead.

Old Boots left this review about The Barley

Modern bar style multi area drinking place. Usual mix of designer tosh, different floor treatments, light grey paint job, although relieved with cream, a variety of seating choices and of course no character. Biggish sports barish bit at the back. Three pulls two Caledonian beers plus Bombardier plus the usual low end kegs including Heineken on ice encrusted fonts with a built in thermometer , one showing -1C the other -2C ; Christ on a bike!
I had Caledonian Golden XPA, bland and tasteless also a shade warm so no cigar here. WhatPub calls it a gastropub, again no cigar not even close, it's a slightly upmarket 'spoons alike.

Oggwyn Great left this review about The Barley

Long narrow pub all cream and dark brown , flag stone floor and leather furniture , a raised stage at the far end for entertainment , no real ale on , popular amongst the younger crowd and old biddies wanting tea & coffe , staff seemed friendly , OK for the bus stop
