Alan Winfield left this review about Staindrop Lodge Hotel

The Staindrop Lodge is a large pub that is set back from the road.
Once inside there was a very large room with the bar to the left, the room was bare boarded and had lots of tall tables and chairs.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter which was a fairly nice drink, the other beers were Tetley bitter and Ruddles County.
The pub was quite busy with a more upmarket type but as a normal drinker i was made just as welcome.
