The Queens Arms is a large roadside pub that is situated at the Northern end of Chapel Allerton.
I refuse to call any pub a Toby Carvery which it is as the pub had an original name which M&B should still use.
Once inside there is a decent sized L shaped room with the bar facing, the carvery is to the right of the bar,the room is carpeted and the seating is mainly normal tables and chairs.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Leeds Pale which went down well, the other beers were Everards Tiger Bitter and Black Sheep Bitter, these were also quite cheap.
There was decent background music playing.
I was happy enough having a drink here, but i am not so picky as most other serious beer drinkers.

Unlike some Toby Carverys this big 30s pub has retained its name on the signage. Vestiges of a multi-room layout and even the bowling green remains - this pub dates from a time of "improved" pubs where brewers were encouraged to turn away from dingy backstreet drinking dens towards finely appointed clubhouse like suburban pubs and roadhouses to encourage lighter drinking and families. The Carvery bit is sectioned off with plastic screens but obviously the stink pervades. Three pulls of the old Leeds style with fairly lack-lustre beers from Leeds, Black Sheep and Brakspear alongside the normal national dross. It's a Toby Carvery and that's what it does not too badly. A destination for serious beer drinkers? no stick to Further North the Regent or the Hulats, handily the bus stops just outside.
