Ossett owned pub so seven pulls with Ossett group beers and one guest from Rudgate on an eighth, all served through autovac, the faint hearted can scroll on by, at least the bar staff didn’t put their dirty fingers around the top of the glass after handling dirty, dirty coins from the unwashed fingers of an arsepicker, however I digress. Sort of an L shape as many knocked through pubs are where the back room has been incorporated. This one is a bit clinical with some tiling décor and the staff are similarly endowed, otherwise I approved of the brown tongue and groove below cream walls and the generally traditional seating. A few screens and a machine or two plus enough keg taps for the ungodly.

Currently undergoing a major refurbishment and due to open 12.7.13 as the second joint venture between Ossett Brewery and Punch Taverns (the first being The Flower Pot, Mirfield). Should inject some fresh blood into the local drinking scene.
