My wife and I were visiting Stonehenge and fell upon this delightful inn. We're from Oklahoma and love to tour country roads to see what treasures are out there.
It was a rainy, windy day and the Inn looked inviting as we drove out of Salisbury. The proprietor and his wife were onsite and suggested their home-made vegetable soup. We asked for some bread and a half-pint of beer, which turned out to his own brewed-on-site creation.
They had a warm fire glowing and everything seemed just perfect - friendly hosts, delicious food, warm surroundings, and beer that tasted like beer used to taste. We were truly charmed.
We can whole-heartedly recommend this fine establishment to anyone visiting Stonehenge. It's worth the drive.
