Formerly the Bug until mid-2023, this has been refurbed and modernised in a predictably bland manner – the bar is duck egg blue and everything else is white (including the beams) which on a wet grey Saturday late afternoon felt awfully depressing. I suspect there’s a half-characterful interior to be had if the varnishing was reinstated. 6 Nations on the telly. One cask, a green Butcombe Original (NBSS 2). I was happy to grab the first bus onward.
