Another one gone forever. Converted into flats some time ago.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Duke of York
Located opposite the park, this place looks OK from a distance but spirits drop when you see the 'To Let' sign on the corner. As feared, there is not much more than the counter in one corner and a pool table at the other end. There was a group playing dominoes and one guy at the bar on a Sunday lunchtime, but that was it until shortly before I left. The two handpumps were disused, and about half the keg taps were out of action too, so I made do with a quick half of the inevitable John Smith's (£1.50) before moving swiftly on.

Mini Me left this review about Duke Of York
After being closed for the last couple of years, this pub has now gotten a new lease of life and is once again open to the public as from 13th July 2011.
The pub has had a total refurbishment both downstairs for the general day to day use and upstairs for venues, parties, celebrations room hire. .
You will find the management some of the most friendly and the atmosphere is one of the most welcoming you will find around for miles. . . This brand new takeover will bring friends old and new together once again and the prices are lower than the local clubs on a lot of products. CALL IN and enjoy time out. Good luck to the new owners-management from Mini Me.
