Alan Winfield left this review about The Rose & Crown

The Rose and Crown is a decent looking stone built pub that is situated quite close to Otleys bus station.
Once inside there is a long single oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the bar faces on entry, the room is carpeted and the ceiling is beamed, there is comfy bench seating to the left the right side is larger with bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which went down well, the other beers were Tetley bitter and Coach House Old Horn.
I thought this was a cosy and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Old Boots left this review about The Rose & Crown

Lots of exposed stone characterises this pub near the bus station, one end is a dining area while the other is a traditional bar with bench seating and sewing machine type tables. Six handpumps with local ales on from Copper Dragon, Taylors, Ossett and Tetleys (still local at present). Sadly my Copper Dragon was more than a bit stale. It's carpeted through out and there are a fair number of screens and machines, the standard old Otley pictures predominate but there are some interesting 19th century prints including one of what looks like Whitbread's Porter Tun Room. The only customers were some eccentric locals and older diners however the pub lies very close to the JDW, Old Cock and the Junction so the competition is fierce in this corner of Otley. A pub that maybe is trying to be all things to all people.
