A large opened out pub that's had the soul unceremoniously ripped from its being. Four pumps , three on t5he go with Adnams Mosaic,Ringwood Forty Niner and Harveys best. Didn't strike a chord with me.

Quinno _ left this review about The Swan Inn

Another GBG pub and another disappointment. Bit more internal charm here with dark wood panelling, brasses, copper pots/kettles, coal burning stove, darts and bar billiards. Again a bit shabby round the edges, the carpet died and went to heaven many years ago. Four ales, Otter Bitter, Harveys Sussex, Hogs Back TEA, Arundel Sussex Gold as well as Westons Old Rosie cider. My Otter was horrific - metallic tasting and warm, a large slab of it went down the urinal. Perhaps I should have taken it back but there are times when time is tight and you just don’t fancy getting into a potential stand-off at the bar. Pretty quiet given it was a warm Saturday afternoon. Someone needs to get a grip here seeing as the two new seafront ale bars served up some of the best beer of the day.

Steve C left this review about The Swan Inn

The Swan is a U shaped pub with a bar billiards table to the left of the entrance. The bar faces some seating that runs along the right hand wall and the larger rear seating area is designated as a restaurant. It is all open plan so I imagine that the rear area is only used as a restaurant during busy dining periods. The bar supports five hand pumps that were drawing two brews from Harveys, Landlord, Doom Bar and Old Rosie cider during my visit last Saturday afternoon. There is also a standard draught range alongside San Miguel. I was one of three customers and I didn’t see any food being eaten, but the menu lists standard pub grub that is priced around the £7 mark.
There are lots of knickknacks around the pub and there is a collection of various copper pots and kitchen utensils that hang from the ceiling. I didn’t spot any televisions, but there was some low background music. Various events are held here throughout the week which includes live music and DJs at the weekends, open mic nights on Sundays, a quiz every Wednesday and folk music the last Tuesday of every month.
Outside the front of the pub are three picnic tables and a couple of café tables.

It is hard to rate a pub when it is empty, but I liked the surroundings and the service was polite enough, if not that friendly. I would have no problem returning here at a busier time.
