Some recent much needed refurbishment has been carried out on this 'proper' pub. Large Edwardian pub in Walsall's Highgate area. Good pre-match beer includes Adnam's Bitter, Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Highgate Dark Ale, Hook Norton Old Hooky and other guest ale(s). Coronation Street actress Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) was born in this pub! I gave it 3 stars but it's worth a bit more than that.
