On the busy main road to Stourbridge & within walking distance of Halesowen bus station. Although the bar is Victorian shabby, the food basic (ham or cheese & onion cobs) and the loos primative this pub is a place of pilgrimage for many real ale drinkers and justly so. Up to 15 real ales, plus some Belgian beers (Guinness & lagar too) regularly served. A permanent entry in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide gives testiment to the quality of the ale. Yes, I've had far too many far too often in this place. A real drinkers pub & long may it thrive. If you are a real ale drinker & can only visit one pub in the Black Country area this is the one. No car park & on street parking is very limited (hence 3 star) so use the bus, 9 or 139 from Birmingham.
