Excellent real ales. Good basic food at reasonable prices. Furnishings basic but comfortable. Friendly atmosphere. In winter the open fire in the lounge can get a little overpowering but don't worry as pub frequented by retired Firemen. Car parking alongside pub & a beer garden at the rear.

Great pub now owned by Holdens but also stock guest beers. A good uphill walk from Old Hill station to work up your thirst!
