A decent locals pub with friendly service and customers. I thought I was in luck when I saw St Austell Tribute but it would have been better with salt on some chips! I had a quick lager and a game of pool. Apart from the beer being off I liked it here and would call again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Camp

Substantial 1930s pub with a touch of the brewer's Tudor and retaining a traditional twin-bar layout: the busy but basic bar and a quite and more comfortable lounge. Obviously something of a biker's haunt as there plenty of leather-clad but good natured riders drinking outside beside their machines when I stopped by. Unfortunately, despite the five decorative handpumps on each counter, there was no real ale on offer so I availed myself of the keg East Coast IPA (£3.20).

This is a deatched 1930s pub, with patio area. Originally, an older pub, the Railway Inn, stood opposite. This pub replaced it and was called the New Railway Inn (the station is nearby). It was renamed after the road it stands on. The pub has a brick lower and Jacobean white and green beam upper, with brick stacks and leaded windows. The interior has a couple of rooms, but i didn't see the lounge. The bar has pool and darts, as well as a large screen TV showing the Villa conceeding a couple of goals - so i wasn't in the best of moods! The decor has green and white walls, with a splash of red, a grean and beam ceiling and a red tile floor - it looks quite neat. Abrick fireplace is at one end. A few old photos are on the walls. The service was friendly - the chap could clearly see my pained expression with each goal. The place was busy enough with a mixed group of locals. Beer; usual tap stuff and we had a decent enough Guinness. It does do real ale, but the Abbot and Tetley Bitter were not going on until later (so he said). They do breakfasts, it seemed. Nothing much for the real ale fan, but happy enough to have stopped by.
