Now called Special Spices. A Desi pub. As far as I know you can still visit just for a drink.

A large detached 1960s Swiss Cottagey looking pub, in cream render and having a steep pitched roof that has dormer windows and a balcony. There is a patio area.

The interior has two rooms that form an L-shape around the bar. The overall decor is a coffee and cream wall arrangement, with coffee ceiling. The furniture arrangement in both rooms is very Spartan, giving a feeling of space to say the least. The main room has darts, a couple of pool tables, a big pull down sports screen, a small stage kind of area and several TVs with Sky Sports News on. The other room was the former lounge and once used for dining, but not now. There are a few tables on a slightly higher level than some comfy seating. There were also TVs here, but not on. The service was fine, the clientele seemed small, but mixed, the music general and a decent level.

Beer; all tap stuff, with a poor Highgate MILD. No real ale.

This place sets itself up for karaokes at the weekend - but whatever, with nothing effectively to drink other than the basics, i wont visit again.
