Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Spread Eagle

Fine-looking old inn, retaining a reasonable amount of character inside with a snug bar and tap room in addition to the main bar with various dining areas beyond. Traditional furniture and decor in each seating area. Patio beer garden to the rear. As a JW Lees house, beers included the standard Bitter, MPA and the seasonal Weaver's Shuttle (£3.35) from a total of seven handpumps on the three counters.

A nice pub. Serves real ales from JW Lees range. Has pictures of 'famous' people who are from or live in the area. I found this to be a relaxing place to drink. Has a separate bar area.

Will Larter left this review about Spreadeagle Hotel

This is a large old building, seemingly a former coaching inn. I went in the snug which is to the right of the main entrance, and took my beer into the next room which is labelled Tap Room. Both of these were very nice rooms, each having a section of the bar, which also serves the larger lounge at the back. Several hand pumps were serving only Lees beers including Bitter and Manchester Pale Ale. I quite liked it here and although the beers are nothing special I wouldn't mind making a return visit.
