This small pub, down a side street off of the main Brighton Road, has something of a country pub feel to it. Dominated by the island bar, seating is arranged around the pub's perimeter in the form of settles and benches, plus some low stools.
There were two hand pumps, but only London Pride on offer. My pint was very well kept and it's a shame that there weren't any other ales to try as they clearly know what they're doing with them.
There was a bit of a strange atmosphere late on a Thursday night and I was surprised at how quiet it was given that previous visits had seen it packed out.
Worth a look if you’re in this part of town, but could do with a better beer selection to make it stand out.
