The Weyside is a decent looking pub that is close to the River Wey and to the South of Guildford's town centre.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room which is bare boarded,the bar faces inwards,the seating is normal tables and chairs,there is a room down steps to the rear which had tables set for diners,this are overlooks the River Wey,the seating here is normal tables and chairs,there is an outside seating area which is down more steps,this looked nice as it was next to the river.
There were five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Surrey Hills Ranmoor,which went down very well,the other real ales were Surrey Hills Sheer Drop,Youngs Bitter,Youngs Special and Youngs London Gold.
I thought this was a decent pub and worth the short walk from the town centre.

Not a bad place and extremely popular on a warm and sunny day, the large riverside terraced area being choc a block with punters,the kitchen was firing on all cylinders and the food looked and smelt good, albeit of a poncey and expensive nature. The beer too was on the pricey side with a pint of Surrey Hills Ranmore Ale relieving me of £4.40, other beers were Surrey Hills Shere Drop and three from the Young's stable. I actually found this pub better than I was expecting and wouldn't be adverse to a return.

Has now been named back to the Weyside, a much better name than the Boatman. The food is good here, the beer has now been overtaken by the Youngs brewery.
