I've stayed here on 3 occasions - Terry and Barb's pub is so good, I kept coming back! Great welcome, real ales, decent home-cooked food, and very comfortable accomodation. What really stood out was the level of service provided - on my first visit, I felt welcome, but by my return, I felt almost part of the family. They even kept food warm for me on Easter Day when I was returning after closing time.
I thoroughly recommend them.
Admittedly, I don't know a huge amount about real ale, but I do love it - Terry had 3 on tap, I think, and explained flavours, gave recommendations, and offered tasters. The snug is a lovely comfortable area, with a real fire on cold evenings, busy sometimes with visitors, but just as much with locals.
