Village community local with extremely limited opening hours. The pub only opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, as well as a Sunday lunchtime. The village shop is nextdoor and also has limited opening hours, that seem to tie in well with the pub, i.e. as soon as the shop closes, the pub opens, as presumably the work is shared between the community.

The two bar staff both seemed to be getting into the spirit of the Jubilee weekend, with the bloke wearing a union jack hat and the lady having a corgi face mask! Customers were all of the elderly variety, presumably all villagers. A sign in the toilets stated that no under-18's would be allowed in the pub until further notice (possibly put up during Covid times). But nobody seemed too bothered that we had our 9-year-old along with us.

The interior is fairly simple with an inverted L-shaped bar. There is much more room in the garden area to the front of the pub, with plenty of tables, some undercover and somebody setting up for what appeared to be some kind of music event for later in the afternoon. So, it was likely that they would be staying open beyond their posted time of 3pm.

Adnams Southwold Bitter is the regular real ale. Two guests were Brentwood Marvellous Maple Mild & Mighty Oak Monarch.

Graham & Mags welcome you to our Village pub.We have now opened the pub all day (from mid-day) A good pub grub type menu and real ales in beautiful surroundings. There is now the added bonus of a pool table!!!
Its child friendly and has a large enclosed garden. There are various walks that start from the pub so why not pop in for a drink and something to eat.
